Just because you're social distancing, doesn't mean you need to go it alone on your weight loss journey. If you want to continue making progress and working toward your goals, here are 3 ways to make sure you're still seeking out support and finding others to help hold you accountable.
- Ask for support from your friends and family

Never underestimate the power of asking for help. Choose a friend or family member who is capable of being your number one cheerleader and ask them to be your go-to person when you're struggling to stay on track. This is especially important if you'd been relying on people that you worked with as accountability buddies, and don't currently have them near you every day. Waiting for that to change may not be a viable option at this point, so go ahead and ask someone who is close to you. Think of them as your weight loss sponsor!
- Utilize the Healthi community on the app
You have an entire community of like-minded people with similar goals at your fingertips! We really can't say enough about the amazing community that our members have created within the safety of the Healthi app. They talk about everything in there, from wins to recipe ideas to venting frustrations. If you haven't perused the Community section on the Healthi app, head over and do it now! There are plenty of members there who will be thrilled to support you and cheer you on.
- Find a virtual weight loss buddy
Find someone who is also working hard to lose weight, either in the app or someone else in your world, and be each other's accountability partners. Losing weight isn't an easy journey, but it can be made easier with a weight loss buddy. Plan weekly (or even more than once a week) check-ins where you can talk about what's working or not working, what you're struggling with and celebrate each other's victories! Maybe you set up a private group in the Community (a benefit of being a PRO member!), do zoom weigh ins, and take the same virtual workout classes together.
Your community for weight loss support is out there. All you have to do is go out and find them, even when you are spending more time at home!
